The obvious naivete of these MAGA who now seem to see the light, is really disingenuous. The behavior we are seeing now is, of course, worse than the first regime, but it is certainly not surprising. The Dear Leader has been a liar, cheat, molester and malignant narcissist since he was born. He figured out, in the four years he was out of office, how to become ever worse. Anyone who voted for him after the disaster of the first term is complicit in what is happening now. I don't want to hear how disappointed and sad they are now. They are getting exactly what they voted for. Unfortunately, so are the rest of us.
In terms of direct parallels, we are starting to see more "AWTB" responses in communities where people they actually know are being hauled off as part of the draconian immigration policy - not the least of which, an elected Republican mayor.
Not all may recognize that what was unfairly done to someone they know is the same thing being done to tens of thousands of others, but hopefully more will appreciate that actual good guys treat everyone with basic dignity.

The Christmas message from the US President called 77 million people scum, and we got a lesson on Peruvian vipers. King Charles did a great message and choir. I'm ashamed of the US and am watching King Charles' message again.
