Well said! Collectively we must bring a lot of "Good Trouble" to push back against those that want to strip away the progress made to date.

Ms. Jones you are a gifted writer and I would like to hear from you often. We need good wordsmiths for the threats that are upon us. Thank you.

We need for Trump to be indicted and sued and we need it now. This MUST stop!

"We need for Trump to be indicted and sued and we need it now."

Indicted and sued for what?

How many of us are willing to be arrested, though? It's going to take a lot more than just sending e-mails and sharing posts on social media.

I whole-heartedly agree with Meenakshi and Helen. Perhaps the most striking phrase is that "silence is compliance." Thank you John Lewis and Brenda Jones.

Now, lets stop talking and start indicting!!

No truer words were ever spoken, I for one am with you all. But I fear our time to save our democracy is getting short. Trump seems to now be turning his attention to Social Security. I fear our movement to save our democracy will be too little, too late. It seems to me like we are bringing a pen knife to a gun fight. Our countries legal (justice) Dept. is going to have to indict Trump soon or we can kiss our democracy good bye.

It is not as though there is any shortage on what to indict him on. Just turn on the 6:00 news. Most of what is reported on Trump is deemed "illegal". Intuitively, I feel he is doing an awful amount of illegal activity, daily!!

We need to start fighting back NOW!

"We must admit we have taken for granted one of the greatest gifts we could have ever been given: a nation founded not on birthright or the spoils of war, but around ideas of equality, freedom, and justice. We must admit that we have foolishly believed that government is our enemy, when government is us."

Right now, government is not us. It is a government of, by, and for politicians and those to whom they extend favors in exchange for continued time in office. That's what happens at any large institution. It attracts people who crave power.

The Founders were wise in designing a small and limited federal government. They fought against a far-away and powerful central government to let people enjoy as much freedom as possible. But it looks like we're right back at the same starting point. Neither Democrats nor Republicans (with the exception of Trump) have any intention of reducing the size and scope of the federal government. There are simply too many perks to being in Washington, either as a politician or those seeking to curry favor from such.
