I live in DC, and drive past the monuments every day on my drive to work (at a federal agency). Yesterday, I passed people in fatigues, apparently clearing weeds and trimming bushes This cartoon is too close to the truth to be funny.
Boy, think how safe they're making us. Phew, we might have stepped on that trash and messed up a shoe for a few minutes.
Of course, at the very same time, people might die from fires because the National Guard aren't there to help putting it out--or any other natural disaster--since they're just sooooo busy picking up trash.
