You forgot to mention that the signatures on the envelopes of every one of thoae millions of mailed-in or dropped-off ballots has to be matched with the voter registration signatures before the ballots can be counted. Yeah it's slow, but extra careful, and here in California we like it like that.
California simply wants as many citizens to vote as they can get so they offer many different options. I imagine this results in a higher percentage of voters and that’s good! We want more people to participate!

Only one man and his minority are whining about vote fraud in California. It was proven by 60+ cases in 2020 that there was little if any fraud; that it was such a small percentage that it would have made no difference, and the cases were thrown out for being specious or lacking in evidence. It's the same song second verse today. Trump needs to present real evidence or STFU. This boy has cried wolf too many times about something that exists only in his troubled mind.
I voted in Berkeley by dropping off my ballot on election day (after agonizing over strategy as long as I was allowed). On Thursday I heard from the Alameda County ballot tracker that my ballot had been received and "will be counted," which I assume means my signature passed muster. Yay. So, first, that information usually arrives faster than in two days. And second, it's now the 10th, and I still have not heard that my ballot has been counted. It's possible they've just thrown up their hands, but I actually doubt it. The ballot-tracking is quite reliable, in my experience.
I wish this could be on the network news so that everyone could see it. Such damaging nonsense Trump and his minions try to stir up. We need more pieces out like this rather than the continued "parroting" of their blather. Thank you for this.
