To see BS news!! Perfect

At the rate we are going, there will be no on-air major network news worth watching save for the defunded PBS and their offering, the BBC. The old news readers from the CBS Evening News (Cronkite, Severeid, O'Donell et. al.) would be shocked at what Weiss has done to the veracity of the presentation. If CBS succedes in ditching Stephen Colbert, there really won't be much use in tuning in any more.

Weiss is smug and ignorant of true journalism. When she's fired from this job, she should never get another media job. Most people who suffer from impostor syndrome shouldn't--Weiss, however is an impostor. How sad she is too oblivious to realize ir.

Who is going to fire her? As long as she tows the Trump-Paramount-Skydance line, she will remain safe.

"The era of CBS News as a journalistic beacon of integrity is over due in large part to Bari Weiss."

So says a Substack liberal echo chamber, founded and populated mostly by those who are incapable of critically analyzing their own ideological shortcomings.

This sounds like another dose of projection. When the news no longer informs us of the truth, what use is it?

Not at all, Steve. Unlike "The Contrarian", Weiss' "The Free Press" has a wide range of views across the political spectrum. She has taken that mindset to CBS. And the video appears to link Weiss to Colbert's decision not to run his segment. Weiss is in charge of the news division, not the entertainment division.

"When the news no longer informs us of the truth, what use is it?"

I agree, and I bet so does Bari Weiss. Most news outlets are nothing more than cheerleaders for one political ideology or another. CBS News has been a cheerleader for the Democrats for decades, and cheerleaders aren't interested in the truth. The media are supposed to be the umpires, dispassionately calling balls and strikes regardless of which team is at the plate. Bari understands that - Jen, Norm and the rest of The Contrarian staff do not.

You should read Weiss' resignation letter to the NY Times:

So this forum can whine and snivel all they want about views that don't align with the collective hive here. But that's what an echo chamber is all about.
