This militarization was all described in Project 2025. Trump himself did not just allude to this happening but promised it in numerous pre election speeches.
We are getting exactly what 76 million people voted for, autocratic Fascism.
You're correct. But no one wanted to hear it from Kamala Harris. All you people who refused to vote for her? You brought this about, and she told you so.
The way I see it, KnockKnockGreenpeace you are 100% spot on right as rain. History will record that it was our countries prejudices that doomed us. In a way it is almost elegantly simple. The black heart of that which built our country (slavery) is, at its core, the same vehicle (prejudice) that now tears it to pieces.
And, (let me continue my train of thought), America will not free herself from the Iron Grip of this scourge until we as a people collectively understand it.
Never before has a president targeted me personally based on where I live or with whom I hang out. Not long ago, Trump called me and all Democrats "scum." No president, not Nixon, not Reagan, not the Bushes, did that. And yes, this is meanwhile, as the author mentions, TRUMP was once a Democrat, lived in a city, built in cities that he denigrates and puts under martial occupation.
It's sick. It has to stop. Thanks to Gov. P. for saying so.
I was on Wabash Avenue during a vacation in Chicago in July. My most memorable moment with the trump building in the background was of a woman who looked up at it and gave it the finger.
Thank you for pointing out that Trump basically is riding roughhousing over cities whose leaders he doesn't like or whose inhabitants he wants to whitewash. So glad the city of Chicago and its state have leaders who will fight Trump's stupidity. Hopefully more people will realize and pay attention to what is going on.

And that, I fear, will take some time.
Let's always call out bigotry in an effort to bring that understanding about. Thanks, friend.
