Hegseth is not the only one who is a "danger" to humanity. IMO humanity is on the brink now of losing everything. We wallow up to our eyeballs in stupidity.
Unfortunately, they all need to be impeached. Never has there been a Cabinet of totally unqualified, morally bankrupt ignoramuses in our history. I originally thought at least Marco Rubio would be a reliable statesman but he drank the koolaid and sold his soul. They all need to go.Just awful, embarrassing nitwits all.
I think it's true that Bibi and M Bonesaw pressured trump into joining their agenda and actions. He's so malleable. He knows, with the dim wit he has, that Iran wasn't imminently prepared to build a bomb. The strikes last summer set that way back. But he has no impulse control and he won't go against or abandon the big bullies he has also been in bed with for years. He's afraid to. Jared is enmeshed there, and let's face it, on the domestic front, they have the goods on him.
If we are against a 'brutal regime' that kills thousands of people as Malinowski says, shouldn't we then be focusing on 'regime change' in the country that has committed genocide and continues to kill civilians on a daily basis, with US help? Are we concerned about aligning with a country led by an ICC indicted war criminal that has killed at least 100,000 people in Gaza, once all the bodies under the rubble are counted?
Is there ever going to be any discussion of the galling hypocrisy of supporting a country that is currently occupying land in Syria and Lebanon, that has killed over 600 since the 'ceasefire' in Gaza and 300 more since its 'ceasefire' in Lebanon?
Is there any commentary on the absurd double standard of condemning Iran for bombing US military bases in countries in the region, from the same two countries that in recent months have led unprovoked attacks and assassinations in several countries, and has now already killed at least 550 people in Iran?
Any discussion about the fact that these attacks are categorically illegal, under international law and the UN Charter, despite whatever Congress says or doesn't say?
That killing nearly 200 kids in a school on the very first day of this attack is a clear, unvarnished war crime?
Any discussion of the 'imminent threat" Israel constantly poses to its neighbors, let alone the millions of people that live with no rights under the ruling military regime in the Occupied Territories?
Malinowski also does not mention that our "friends" (which he repeatedly calls Israel) have entirely locked down all crossings into Gaza and all movement altogether in the West Bank, closing over 1000 checkpoints there... this is the country fighting against tyranny in Iran?
These discussions in this outlet are seriously conditioned and lacking.
thank you Jen and Tom for being out there for us. I will spend the rest of this afternoon
calling my list of Democratic elected officials to say we want no war.
I also just received a notice about IRAs. Hmmm, not political?
It is political. Here is the information I received:
"Mailing an IRA contribution?
The United States Postal Service recently changed how postmark dates are applied. Postmarks now reflect when mail is processed—not when it’s dropped off—so items mailed on a deadline (e.g., April 15) could be postmarked days later, impacting timing.
Please be aware of this change and plan accordingly."
I see this as a way to prevent my mail-in vote for the next election. It means that by delaying the
processing for some made up reason --- we may have another issue to resolve.
I am sure you will look into it.
And again, my true thanks to you for keeping me informed about what Pinocchio is doing.
Thanks Jen for having Tom on. We need to hear his voice. The election was disappointing, but that was up to NJ voters, so it is what it is. I hope he will get some position to amplify his voice.
Such a loss to us all that Malinowski is out of Congress. Obviously brilliant, obviously a man of integrity and experience. Such grace and strength, which are sorely lacking in today's leadership.
“Right to defend itself?” How dare you use that sentence after everything that’s happened! What about other countries, their people? I’m an American and I’ll never support Israel again. No more American money to Israel (full stop).
I would like to hear more and more about Ukraine and an end to that war. I am glad that Americans continue to speak up and vote. The latest "victory" is DOJ not pursuing its vendetta against law firms. We take each victory, each positive, and continue to build on them. Midterms are important. Keep on trucking :)
Hegseth is an idiot allowed to run rampant for his and trump's "glorification."
He has no idea what he's doing. Unfortunately the power he has affects the reasonable functioning of our society and the world.
Hegseth needs to be impeached. He’s a danger to humanity.

Brilliant conversation!
Billion dollar Mar-a-Moscow party tickets. Does MAGA see this? Pointless. De-ja-vu all over again.
Million dollar tickets.

"... even if you strongly support Israel's right to defend itself and it's right to security..."
I really wish that pat expression would be retired or at least critically examined.
How are Israel's current military actions defense rather than aggression?
How is Israel not endangering its own security by its military aggression and territorial expansion?
Is it even clear what the state of Israel's sovereign boundaries are?
I have never visited Israel and can't begin to appreciate the ties of family, history and shared culture that bind the US and Israel.
But something has to change.
yes, 'defend itself', by bombing several other countries...as the US is now 'defending itself' ....

Jay, you are so correct. We need to keep Tom's voice lound and clear for people to hear.
So much is going on, as DJT scatters evil all over, it is hard to keep up.
The death of Jesse Jackson made me aware of how we lack those people of vision who
used to be in the news all the time. We need leaders getting into the face of Americans to
show them the way to go.
As you said, I too, hope Tom will get a position to allow him to amplify his voice and wisdom to
all Americans.

again, Congress has the backbone of a worm. too much talk and not enough action.

Love you, Jen! Thanks so much for your tireless work!

How is Tom getting this intelligence regarding Iran's capability (or incapability) to build a bomb then or now?
