Now, that's a luxurious fur coat. It's interesting how grooming has so much significance for dogs. Besides maintaining mere comfort, being groomed by humans is also a good training and social activity. At the shop, dogs learn tolerance and patience. At home, close contact is an opportunity to bond, to find calm, to check health, and to do what is obviously something that Coco does well: eye gazing. I see you, Coco!

This is the first time in my 86 yrs that I don’t own a dog, or two! I miss the critters terribly, but not the responsibility; I’m hoping to put forward as “pet of the week”, my favorite dog friend, who gives sloppy sweet kisses to me when encouraged. He’s a near neighbor, as are his dad & mom. Stay tuned … 🐶🐶🐶🐶🐶

Thank goodness Coco survived the chocolate escapade! Many years ago our rescue poodle mix decided to eat some of the leftover York peppermint candy (including the wrapping) from Halloween—the vet said to watch him—fortunately the only effect it had was pooping “silver bullets” for the next day (he and we were lucky).

Coco is a beautiful baby and she is a good girl to play so nicely with her park friends ❤️

Keep up the good work Coco!☮️💟
