Please keep hair ties away from the kitties. My daughter’s cat swallowed one and had to have it removed surgically which was very expensive and the cat had to wear a cone collar for weeks. Keep strings, rubber bands and hair ties away from cats please.
We learn from the misfortunes of others :) I once read about a dog that swallowed a potholder--why not? Smelled great! And some other cautions that I filed away for use with all of my dogs. I enjoy your writing, by the way.

Took him in for an annual checkup and turns out he had a belly full of them. YIKES. I had no clue he was swallowing them. Luckly the vet was able to extract them without having to cut his belly. Just be aware. Tabby is 11 years old now and doing great!
