Dear Norm- Thanks for this critical update about the Kennedy Center! I live in Ohio but have worked in DC and have been to the Kennedy Center. DC is filled with monuments, both sculptural AND architectural. These monuments, whether big ones like the Lincoln Memorial, or smaller ones like the William Blackstone statue, and architecturally, the Smithsonian Institution, the National Gallery and of course the Kennedy Center are the property of the United States and exist for every person, citizen or not, to visit. Visiting DC and seeing how our National Park Service, our GSA Fine Arts Division and our Architect of the Capitol, among other government entities, care for all of this for all of us is truly remarkable. We are so fortunate to have to have historically significant monuments and architecture, our history, kept in good condition and cared for. Stopping one man, or one administration, from destroying our historic legacy which is entrusted to all of us is so important.
