YOU ARE EXACTLY RIGHT. LETS GET RID IF THE RED

If you had signed up for that course, you would have learned to capitalize the 'e' in English, and how to spell grammar.

Sorry it's not perfect. Thank you for your correction.

Norm Farrell's avatar

Sorry, David. The comment was for someone else.

Imagine if J6ers had sandwiches! https://bsky.app/profile/carlquintanilla.bsky.social/post/3lwhfg5vtgs2k Violent assaults on DC police by J6ers are patriotic but throwing a Subway sandwich is evidence that crime is out of control in DC? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NeLUSvAZsxQ Another day in the presidency of the depraved narcissist convicted fraudster rapist & extortionist extraordinaire...#Resist & #Vote Blue.

Weapons of Mass Destraction. Please do not miss the point. Trump's machinations over the Epstein child-rape evidence are obviously and increasingly defensive. I hope you will help keep that story alive while he prances and dances for the cameras with his buddy Vlad.

Susan Iwanisziw's avatar

I think Destraction is a great blend of destruction and distraction. Well done (even if it was accidental).

Freudian slip, maybe, but thanks!

Excellent piece, Jen! You get to the heart of the matter. Thank you.

I always remember a Republican farmer in IL who told me that you can tell that tRump is lying when you see his lips moving. This is as true today if not more than a few years ago when I first heard this. Dear Leader recently said that protestors in DC were paid by Democrats to be there and oppose DonOld. Can you imagine how hard it would be to get even a few people to protest for money and not let the word out? But that doesn't matter to MagaDon, whatever nonsense pops into his pea brain he says, knowing that his people don't read, don't think, they just fall in line. And deep inside I think he senses that the rest of us nonMagas don't believe a word he says, and will oppose him until he is 6' under.

We also need to put on our big boy britches and join the international court. tRump has just sanctioned George Clooney's wife because as a British Attorney she is advising the international court on war crimes including the Middle East. tRump can just do this by EO with zero review by anyone. tRump's assertions require objective review otherwise they are effectively the creation of law without Congressional or Judician review. We need a well-crafted No Kings amendment.

EOs need to be severely restricted. At the rate Trump is going, we're going to run out of paper.

The US won't ever join or abide by any international court as along as it is BFF with Israel.

Trump's attempt to use the National Guard as his political police force is an outrageous violation of longstanding American traditions. He's stated that he wants the National Guard ready—for actively deploying them—in response to demonstrations as well as other disturbances (which no doubt he will exaggerate). His popularity is plummeting and he's afraid of peaceful protests of Americans who abhor his cruel, thoughtless, and often stupid policies. All blue state cities are at risk with Trump using the flimsy excuse of crime, which can be dealt with by our cities as always (other than riots in the past). This is about attacking free speech and the right of assembly. And about trying to intimidate and silence our population. .His fear of peaceful demonstrations shows us that they matter. Please Stand Up before Trump has his Gestapo-like police force fully and illegally mobilized

Robot Bender's avatar

That will greatly piss off the Guard members. They have to leave their families and jobs when called up. They only get Guard level pay to do it. I'm sure there's a lot of backdoor talking among the troops. "Why the f--- do we have to stand around unarmed and do f--- all in 95F heat?! This is bull----."

It's exhausting for our legal heroes, but each assault must be met head on with pushback and posts that denigrate the 🍊 .

Where in law is "emergency" defined or who can declare one and by what standards? Where is the defined check on declaration by lie. If there isn't one, that needs to be fixed.

Badgerblue's avatar

More evidence the MAGA's are just scaredy cats, Trump and Steven Miller in particular.

RRiveter's avatar

Steven Miller needs to be hospitalized in a structured psych setting. His own family has disowned him for his extremist policies and behavior, which apparently started when he was in high school. The guy is simply insane, and should absolutely have NO influence, power, or say in anything having to do with the operation of this country. He is one of the biggest psychopathic dangers to the US, together with Bondi.

Indeed, this gives me hope in a time when hopelessness & surrender must be reflected upon, for as Arendt said: "THE ESSENCE OF EVIL IS THE REFUSAL TO THINK."

Time to connect the dots to our Fascist (shorter than typing "Unconstitutional")) government: Ukraine is not Washington DC, and Washington DC is not Ukraine. Neither is Los Angeles.

I love and support your work, but you must be over-extended. In this post you have an incomplete sentence in the fourth paragraph (begins with "Reyes . . ." and a typo ("degree" should be "decree"). Hang in there!

patricia's avatar

um, I don't remember signing up for an english grammer course...or a spelling course

Pam Birkenfeld's avatar

I do think the incomplete sentence was bad because I want to know what the judge said from the bench.

patricia's avatar

OK fine BUT I have noticed nothing the courts say matters....I'll wait for ya'll to catch up.

Pam Birkenfeld's avatar

Well, I am a lawyer so I have to pay attention to what the court says. But you don't have to be so snarky.

patricia's avatar

I guess it is good to have the other courts findings on record for when trump is impeached after the midterms...

patricia's avatar

true, but I and you know with the sup crt and AG on trump side nothing any lower court says matters.

Carolyn Phipps's avatar

Correct usage of the language matters.

Norm Farrell's avatar

If you had signed up, you would have learned to capitalize the 'e' in English and how to spell grammar.
