This lawsuit would be confusing but for the explanation given here of how the current lawsuit is different from the Vasquez Perdomo SCOTUS decision green lighting racial profiling. With this explanation we understand why the current lawsuit might succeed.
No immigrant with legal status should ever leave home without copies of their papers on them. Not the originals, because I would not put it past those Gestapo hoodlums that they'll take the originals away and destroy them.
That won't protect immigrants immediately from the masked Gestapo thugs, but hopefully someone in the chain of command at ICE or a lawyer retained by the family can do something to free them.
I am so grateful to have The Contrarian so I know what is really happening in our country. My sister has a friend in Connecticut who is a Spanish immigrant from Spain with Sephardic Jewish ancestry has an accent is attractive and looks younger than her age and has an adult son in his 40’s who lives in the Carolinas. She would be a target for these hooligans. I fear for legal U.S. citizens who are here legally and been legal for a while. This is so scary 😱
