Right. Just because Noem is gone doesn't mean that there will be a miraculous change in the agency's mission, intent, or policy. With Mullin at the helm, it will make no difference in performance. DHS must be broken up, not funded further, and the individual agencies under its umbrella returned to their original standing.
Prosecutions of ICE/CBP violations of citizen's and non-citizen's rights need to be prosecuted now, en masse, asap, by the states in which they occurred! Yes, as it happens, Democratic states, and any others that can be advocated. That would be leverage for Dems on the funding. Ramp up! "Send money, [s]uns, and lawyers! The shit has hit the fan!"
