If what's shown in those pictures is all there was to it, it does not prove a full-blown affair to me.
But even if it was, why is it always the female who loses/has to give up her job, while the male goes merrily along his way? I, for one, am sick of it.
A reporter allegedly having an affair with a possible subject is a possible conflict of interest, for one thing. Maybe news organizations have higher standards than sports operations.
There is little room left to focus on the actual sport. There are so many reporters first that need to shine, that they have shaded the essence of the sport. Let's have hours of pre-game shows, then sideline reporters spouting their expertise on a sport they have never played. Then, once the game has started, let's stop coverage of the actual game and force the coach to speak to a reporter who asks, "How's it going". Or maybe, "how does it feel to be losing at this point of the game?" And in so doing, they have killed the essence of the actual game. Each game has a distinct pulse, flow, and emotion, and today's reporting is oblivious to the flow and emotion of the game. Never have I watched a game so I could listen to the reporters or an announcer. I watch a game because I want to see X team play Y team, and I'm interested in seeing and feeling how the game unfolds. I want to experience the game.
What if these two weren't currently married to others? In "spaces with common interests" is how people do meet and fall in love after all. Would Russini simply be reassigned elsewhere for violating ethics and, of course, no consequences for the man, Vrabel, ever. Would this be as big of a deal?

Absolutely 💯

It's not a possible conflict of interest for the coach looking for better press?
This is a side interest to me, so this post I’m writing is OFF TOPIC. I apologize to the purists.
But we must all see that the sports industry exists to provide ODDS for the GAMBLING INDUSTRY, and for no other reason.
That is it. That is all it is.
Sports teams do not deserve their fans. The teams exist to generate more interesting ODDS for the GAMBLING INDUSTRY, not to win games for their fans.
It’s all clown wrestling from here on out. Mud wrestling. “Professional” wrestling.
Sports teams are training grounds for shows that generate GAMBLING ODDS.
Doesn’t help that she’s wearing a cross around her neck, even if it’s unfair how women in these jobs are treated.

I thought that was a photo of Mary Lou Retton at first.
