Be inspired! Oregon residents protested mightily in Newport on Dec. 13 - "ICE Has No Business Here!". Enjoy this video of people demonstrating for democracy and community! Worth watching. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zenhc1rW0zg
It is now 1:34 am and I am in tears of relief and joy after listening to the 10 Top Reasons for Hope in 2025. Along with friends, I did actually carry signs in a few of those anti-Kings protests. Thank you for a bright spot before I attempt to sleep in this crazy state of affairs.
Suzy Wiles is trying to cover her behind by saying that the Vanity Fair interviews were a "hit piece". Suzy has been in politics for decades. She knows the games and the routine. She said what she said, and she didn't deny what she said. She needs to step up, be honest about the interviews, and stop the crap. By trying to intimate that the interviews were lies or entrapments just make her look incompetent, which apparently, she is not, one of the few in this regime. Actually, it sounds like a hell of a lot of people are afraid of her. I would think that's a good thing.
In this edition of The Contrarian we have exceptional writing on many topics from Women’s health to the elephant in the room of the GOP. Both of the above mentioned issues have been created by the Republicans lack of coherent leadership.

Nothing on 20 minutes of whining at the White House last night. Not even the Fox News website is covering that fiasco.
The economy & Trump flatlining? "Even though President Trump has ushered in an incredible, never-before-seen Golden Age of economic prosperity, some Americans continue to unpatriotically not believe everything we’re telling them about the economy’s awesomeness." https://www.usatoday.com/story/opinion/columnist/2025/12/17/jobs-report-economy-trump-hoax/87794187007/
