We've lost a great champion for the world tonight. Not just for primates and all non-human life, but for us as well. She sought out the best in us to harness as a force for good, for bestowing to future generations the complex tapestry that links the human, animal and plant world. A true ambassador for the ages. Condolences and great respect to Jane Goodall's family, friends, supporters and those who continue to work to heal our beleaguered planet.
Remember taking my daughter to the AMNH nearly 40 years ago to meet Jane Goodall and purchase a signed copy of her book. She was a living legend and, my daughter is still a fan.
Thank you for letting us know about Jane Goodall's passing. She helped a lot of people understand more about who animals, especially our closest relatives are. I wish there were more like her.

Hay. Where are all the clips from pre- and post-election that shows, over and over again, Trump and other major GOP leaders saying THERE WILL BE NO CUTS TO MEDICARE AND MEDICAID?
Also, they've been trying to get rid of the ACA (Obamacare) every since the minute it was passed. Now, they have nit picked on this bill without saying ACA but where all of the nitpicking is about ACA policies, by other names.
Good point. Come to think of it, I haven’t seen a single montage of all of the denials around these cuts. Additionally, they say very little about the tax cuts that these healthcare cuts are helping to pay for. That surprises me.
BTW, Trump and Heggy are doing an end run about the requirement of a loyalty oath from our military leaders--the only difference is that he is grifting about it. That is,, Trump is approaching the SAME situation (needing the military), but from below-upwards, rather than from naming it and then following through. "Take an oath" is replaced with a game plan to do what he wants. In other words, they told the military they would use the (blue) cities and states for military training. The only difference is they didn't ask up-front for signatures of loyalty.
That's just another way of assuming the military will be directed to do so (grift) and that they will obey—or so Trump thinks. It's an attempted end run around actually saying or demanding up front what Hitler demanded—obedience. It's just more scammy thought from the grifter in charge and his sickening sycophants..
I just hope the military people know that they are supposed to follow their civilian leader, but not to do illegal activity.

"WE the people" elected an Autocratic Fascist into the oval office and gave him FREE REIGN (by giving Republicans majorities in both houses) to destroy our democracy.
We have to learn to live with it as our children will have to, for decades to come.
We have allowed the destruction of American Democracy to take place "in a day".
The rebuilding of that democracy WILL SURELY take years (possibly a decade or more).
We all must know this and fight those now out in the open, for American Democracy to return.
