I hope there’s an incredible thunder and lightening storm, of Noah’s proportions, with winds of at least 30mph. Beginning at 5:45pm, going to 11:30pm. Sorry for the inconvenience to thousands of people (including those stranded by Reagan’s closing), but we’ve got to admire what Mother Nature might do to assist us in our various protests!! Fingers crossed! 🤞🏻

The weather doesn’t care whether you exist, much less whether you are good or bad. But I must admit I was hoping for a strategic lightning bolt from Thor.

It is absolutely horrible to just lie about what has happened in the history of our country and then to change textbooks and other accounts of the actual history. What is the big deal about covering up the truth?!

And all this disgraceful renaming, and renaming again, by a 5 time draft dodger no less, is costing us what?

"Trump is hosting a birthday party disguised as a military parade in Washington, D.C., to celebrate the Army's 250th anniversary." Personally, I would say that it is a military parade disguised as a birthday party!

I remember when he watched the Bastille Day Parade in Paris and I could see the clogged cogs in his brain decide he had to have that too.

Despicable. And has anyone asked the cost of implementing all of these name changes? Where is DOGE?

I’m not an educator, so I may not accurately understand how young children process stories or see themselves in a story (addressing the idea that white children would feel guilt about something a different white person did 2-300 years ago), but that presumes that the child would identify with the oppressor? Why? Because they are both white?

It’s been a while since I was a child, but I seem to recall that we are always the heroes/heroines. We always vanquish evil, rescue puppies and stand up for those being bullied.

Note to self: don't mention rescue puppies and Kristi Noem in the same day...

Noem is the enemy in my story.

Unless he is removed we should expect a continuing stream of such obscenities. The news outlets that aren't part of the MAGA Matrix should give only a minimal amount of coverage to his Penis Parade and his future bragging about the size of his hands.

It has always seemed extremely strange to see so many military bases named for those who lost the the Civil War and I always found it insulting to those Americans of color to name military bases not only to losers but to rabid racists.

Critical race theory is a fancy name for HISTORY!!!! Call it what it is and perhaps these goons will stop outlawing it and go back to their coloring books.

Vance could have said: "Not all SS guards of concentration kamps were evil!"

We have read in history (well, at least some of us have) that dictators come to a bad end. The problem that we're facing currently is a race as to whether it will be Trump or the United States that goes first. Hopefully it will be Trump and those of his administration. The midterm vote next year will start the unraveling process - if we have an election. We must work as if we will so as not to put an end to democracy and this country.

But the Confederacy didn't lose. It just took them about 165 years to win! Hopefully, it is only a temporary victory and they will soon be losers again -- but the outcome is uncertain.

Mother Nature needs to be careful. Steven Miller send ICE Agents after her....

It's not about losers and winners. It's a reaction to the "renamings" done last time around, which were accompanied by defacements and tearing down of statues/artwork that displeased some people. We're witnessing a far right "woke" culture.
