Yes, and the emoluments clause is taking a battering along the way too …

Trump’s Profiteering Hits ♦️$4 Billion — The New Yorker

In August, I reported that the President and his family had made $3.4 billion by leveraging his position. After his first year back in office, the number has ballooned.

A problem is that little or nothing has been done about the violations of the Emoluments Clause. As a result, the infractions continue and grow. Acquiesence and permissiveness has been met with greater and increased lawlessness.

Yes, Just a few seats in either house makes the difference in ‘checks & balances’.

He’s spoiled brat let loose in a candy store!

Or perhaps racing madly up and down the aisles in a toy store, grabbing stuff off of the shelves and yelling.

Perhaps Mister will live long enough for reform to happen and to be the target of the next volley of legitimate indictments.

The DOJ must be changed with respect brought back to the department.

Thge evidence is that ethical rules and policies aren't enough and don't have the teeth to enforce themselves when a cadre of lawless thugs arrive on the scene and commence dispensing their own version of justice. Neither the MAGApublican Congress nor the supine court are acting in their roles of checks and balances on the Executive Branch. How much more damage must be endured before enough have had enough? We the people, the majority already have.

The article is quite right. America has lost its democracy.

The DOJ, like every other Cabinet department, is geared towards what the "great leader" wants. Every possible decision or action that called out his illegal or immoral action is being questioned so that he can call himself totally innocent of any wrongdoing. He absolutely cannot tolerate being wrong, especially since it's a very, very long list. It is appalling that so many people are kowtowing to him. I applaud every resignation and every resistant person who calls out this travesty of a government. And yes, I am included a GOP Congress which is almost totally devoid of courage and truth.

DOJ is no longer the Department of Justice. It is either Department of Injustice or Department of Retribution. Given that it's the personal law firm of Donald Trump, let's name it like a law firm: Bondi and Blanche. Or we could add Patel to the list and call it: Bondi, Blanche, and Patel.

Diane, these "people" have liquidated American democracy and replaced it with Autocratic Fascism. Bondi, Blanche, and Patel (and MANY others) should now be in the slammer.

Why aren't they??????!!!!!

What are the people supposed to do to fix this? Please tell me. We can raise our voices, as we have many times, but pressuring our elected officials doesn't work. They are loyal to Trump. Redistricting has corrupted the elections and corruption is likely to worsen, if we have midterms at all. Is there no action anyone with intimate knowledge of fed goings-on can take? If ICE murders another White person, will that help? Please tell me what we can do. Please.

Like many have feared, our government is paralyzed. We await someone to stand up whose guts have not been evesserated.

Our country now can only be described as pathetic.

Congress has shown recently that bi-partisan efforts are effective. Well, more so than before. The worse that Trump behaves, the more they unite. But that has nothing to do with voters.

The current Department of Justice is an oxymoron.
