That is typical rapist behavior. Rapists will acknowledge it was nonconsensual but they will never admit it was rape and they always blame the victims: it was their fault somehow.
Not to be cliche, but....silence speaks volumes. We hope they publicly disavow this man, behavior, and the leaders and structures that fostered his rise.

On the one hand, horrible child rapists exist on all sides of the political aisle.
On the other hand, it looks like only Republicans want to elect them to office.
And on the gripping hand, it looks like the GQP sure loves to quietly rehabilitate these convicted sex offenders and sweep their past under the rug.
