Thank you for this piece. I would add one more area of health care impacted by this regime’s policies. Medical and scientific research has been highly impacted as research grants have been withdrawn and interrupted. Now the U.S. has begun to see a brain drain in these research fields as researchers are leaving the U.S. European countries and Canada have become the beneficiaries of this brain drain. We are losing a generation of advances.
My life is so much better because I had my cataracts extracted and replaced with lenses. Straightforward. Healthcare is essential and not terribly expensive. It should be available.
You are spot on. We have learned nothing from past mistakes. We are driving our healthcare system off a cliff. Rural hospitals will close. Nursing homes and care facilities will close. Most people that work in healthcare do so because they care. But….there is a breaking point for everyone!

Those issues are also bound up with tossing the immigrants who care for us out of the country. Foolish and stupid and will make things more expensive.
