Glad to see that Marjorie Taylor Greene has finally realized she represents her constituents, not MAGAs in Congress or Trump, and wouldn't it be nice if other reps realized that, too? I'm hoping some in Congress will wake up and stand up. Rand Paul has always been a loose cannon, but Greene really surprised me.
Greene is a loose cannon. Do you not recall how she acted during the Speaker votes? She often fights with her own party. Which, frankly, should be normal. This voting in lockstep with a party rather than actually representing your voters needs to stop.
MGT apparently smells a very rough election coming up, and wants to get out in front of things. But, that is how our system works. Our representatives should listen to constituents, even have a healthy fear of them.
It's an absolute shame that it took MTGs family to be affected by the ACA cuts for her to say something. Her initial comments, if I'm not mistaken, mentioned her adult children being affected by the Big Bullshit Law cuts before her constituents. Maybe another reason to support Congress and their staffs not getting paid if the government shuts down?
Mtg is still a vulgar, stupid, hateful racist clown. Now that this shit THAT SHE HELPED CREATE is affecting HER she's starting to pay attention. Rot in hell, evil beeotch.
Whether or not an expression of true conviction or something else, this statement of support is still the default.
Cherrypicked remarks like Rand's and MTG might give the author a glimmer of hope but they don't me. It's still fight, fight, fight with our protests, our legal pushback, the fact reporting of new independent media all with the goal of moving public opinion to vote YES for sanity in 2026.
It's interesting she calls it the ACA now. Even she can be educated by the job, which is interesting.
Our country has been held together by a agglomeration of right-thinking people and the wrong-headed people that at important moments worked together with them. This is a sign that this is still possible, and it's a reason to not wish death upon people, but rather moments of enlightenment. Enough of those and your wicked past can be redeemed.
Call your representatives! That's the lesson here. Tell them your interests and worries. Don't just yell at them, however much they may deserve it.

She's saying these things now, but will she stick with them? Or will she only really follow through on the ones that affect her directly?
I don’t want to EVER give Greene an atta-boy, but here we are….
The major confrontations Trump has issued/started today are exactly the reasons the Nobel committee chose someone else for the prize.
They don’t choose laureates based on doing their best to start wars against their own cities and citizens!
Just another major distraction from the Epstein Files! I will never vote for a pedophile!

Rand Paul is a Libertarian. Their thinking doesn’t always align with the GOP but it also doesn’t align with common sense either.
