Absolutely agree. But the Dems have a couple of problems:
The far left base of the party wants the Dems to fight and this is the hill they want the Dems to die on. Also, Schumer is afraid of a primary challenge by AOC. There have been nine votes in the last fifteen days, and now even the media is moving on. If they could reasonably blame the Republicans for this it would still be news. But as time passes, it's more apparent that the Dems are to blame for the shutdown. They can end this by simply passing the CR and then negotiate about health care. But then they will appear to be weak and people like Jen will try to tar and feather them in forums such as this.

Bull crap. Dems lost the election last year, and what have they done since then? Nothing but whine, snivel and complain about anything and everything related to Trump. Bashing him on a daily basis is the only reason Jen and Norm have this Substack column. They are neither interested as to why they lost nor do they have any clue as to how to address and fix the problems that got Dems booted out of the White House and into minority status in the Senate.
