Steve’s insights are fascinating but anything to do with this court is always scary or beyond frightful. If at least one of the right wing justices could be replaced that could make some difference.

Thanks for the real talk, although I hyperventilated through it. One question I don't want answered: how long will the court even be heeded?

Steve is magnificent! He gives me great confidence that the members of the court and its processes, including its obfuscations, are being seen clearly. jJen is the perfect other half of this conversation.

My quote for the year is Hannah Arendt's "This is not the nursery: obedience and support are the same." By supporting Trump with practically every decision this year, the Court is obeying him —though the thought of the soi-disant "intellectual" justices obeying the anti-intellectual Trump is stupefying.

The man is, after all, a convicted criminal. They are just as nuts as he is.

Jennifer --

Early in your intro you use the phrase "...talk to us about what the government was asking...". That seems to normalize the actions of tRump and his enablers & sycophants; it also gives them more gravitas than is deserved. I think that more accurate phrasing would be--

"...talk to us about what the REGIME {emphasis added with caps in lieu of italics I would have preferred} was asking..."

Yes, and it rankles that WE are paying for "the government's" lawsuits brought by our own people to stop "the president's" lawless and cruel actions. We pay to bring the complaint and we pay to defend. Sick.

Enjoyed Steve's descriptions and answers to Jen's questions in this discussion of SCOTUS. Thank you both.

Yes, Jen is quite masterful in drawing out salient points from Steve's responses to discuss further--and she picks up on what WE would want to know more about, as they are speaking. It's called a conversation. Fox News could learn a thing or two.

There's nothing uncertain about it. This Supremely Corrupt Court is going to do all it can to help Traitor One destroy democracy.
