Thanks for running this piece, The Contrarian!

Its very sad that a lot of intelligent people are ignoring the lies that are being told right to their face! When they wake up, I fear it will be much too late! :-(

Yup. It's the media's job to correct this stuff, but they fail in that responsibility every day.

This situation will not change as long as money and power is more important to the millionaire and billionaire owners of legacy media than the truth. The orange felon and his crime family have made the truth unfashionable,

Thank you for stating the facts!

Thank you for this.

I do object to using the term "Border Czar." There is no such thing, even though the current administration likes Russia and Russian things. Is "Executive Associate Director of Enforcement and Removal Operations" even a real position, or is it more like "DOGE", just made up seemingly on the fly?

I hear you! "Czar" has been used as shorthand by some recent presidents for people overseeing certain aspects of government. But given that we now have a president who wants the powers of an actual czar, I understand the concern! https://joshlevs.com/episode-15-media-the-fight-for-democracy/

People will believe anything that agrees with their world view. As disgusted as I am with journalists who parrot lies (or who hide behind the phrase “without evidence”), the real problem is that facts no longer matter.

They late the Tate brothers into the country for no reason, and now we care about sex trafficking?

It all started when people were told they couldn't trust "fake news." The idea that such a thing actually existed, added to increasing partisanship and lies in the legacy media, and topped off by AI's success in mimicking reality -- and you get people who are utterly confused about what to believe.

In true Nazi tradition, so much nonsense is thrown around that people don't even know what to respond to first, or how, while their democracy is steadily dismantled behind the scenes.

The term "fact-checking" also loses its meaning when the legacy media kiss the ring. To be fair, when a comment by Stephanopoulos results in $10 million out of ABC's shrinking pocket, and people are encouraged to attack anyone who disagrees - "I know where your children go to school" kind of threats - it now takes considerable courage just to buck the system.

Kudos to you and all who are trying!!!
