I have made it clear to my state and U.S. Representatives and Senators that I do not support their policies on women’s rights and no way will I ever vote for them. It’s always a single party running. It nauseates me when I get a political flyer with their picture posing with the First Felon followed by their “Conservative Christian Values”

It’s always about themselves not the specifics what they’ll do to help the average Joe or Jane in America. Politicians who are braggadocio about their values or religious views are always a turn off. Tell me you’re a conservative without telling me you’re a conservative. But we know here these people are not conservatives. They’re emotional reactionaries as Jen Rubin so eloquently put it on another Substack live stream.

As long as so many women continue to vote for fascists toadies on the state and federal level, nothing will change. Women will continue to be second and third class citizens.

And no woman will ever become president of these so-called United States.

It's amazing how those who espouse freedom tend to pave the road to it with landmines.

My impression is that many men who read The Contrarian who are greatly concerned about the rise of fascism in this country. They cry, “the fascists are coming, the fascists are here, people must do more to stop them.” But I see no comments by men to this article. I just want to point out that the fascists are targeting people who are other than white and male. One way white men can make a difference is to care about and stay informed about how others are being subjugated in various way, for example, through denial of critical health services. Women are a prime target of the fascists’ attempt to control all our lives.

I will follow-up to comment on the Trump administration’s proposed rule to eliminate exceptions to abortion care for veterans, even in states where abortion is legal. It’s something I can do.
