Trump is what my dad would have called a "Jock sniffer". I always tracked that as a man who enjoyed being around and getting attention from male athletes, thereby proving his manhood in a vicarious way. What drives this behavior is Trump's lack of confidence - or fear - that he might be perceived as the pussy he is might be revealed.
Regarding the hoopla over "affordability" when it comes to NFL games moving to streaming services, I've got to note a fair amount of industry hypocrisy when the opposition claims a goal of keeping all the games on "free television". I've got to note that some of the games have aired on cable networks in the past (ESPN), and that isn't "free television". In fact, a cable subscription is quite a bit more money than Prime and Netflix combined...not even close.
In fairness, unlike other professional sports most NFL games did stay on free broadcast TV, and that remains true today. But for other professional sports -- baseball, basketball, and hockey all largely migrated to cable TV for quite a few years because there was more money that could be extracted from the combination of subscriber fees and advertising versus broadcasting that was dependent on advertising. That's finally reversed in the past few years, but only because the cable industry is in an even faster decline than broadcast TV.
Realistically, it was a losing week for these "leaders". Vance (aided by Trump) came home from Hungary empty handed. Trump and Rubio came home from Iran with a big nothing for their efforts, such as they were. Jared Kushner (rather like Tolkien's Gollum) was snuffling
around the Middle East raising money for himself and masquerading as a "broker of peace". The "authority" of the Trump administration is diminishing and cracking.
As always, Jen and Pablo analyzing sports is great to listen to.
While I did not actually watch the Masters, I had "Masters 2026" running in the background and checked on the leaderboard every so often. Rory's Saturday round was agony to watch, but Sunday was an absolute thriller. He sure made it interesting. I felt sorry for Young having to play with Rory.
Excellent news program. Fascinating
The Wide World of Jen and Pablo! They make sports interesting!
brainless watching brainless

I hate sports but I love your reparté. I have broken teeth and bones from rugby in college. Thank you.
