As usual, unless something directly affects maga Congress, they would prefer to do nothing and pick up their paychecks. How many Republicans have family members in active combat positions? None? No where in the Constitution is the President given immunity for any actions taken. Presidents Bush and Obama could have both been prosecuted for their actions; but none were brought because the American people accepted their rational given. Noriega was sending drugs to the United States and Libya was harboring terrorists who were planning attacks on the United States (at least that was the justification).

The action in Venezuela without consent of Congress will only embolden p47 to act on Columbia, Mexico, Cuba, Panama, Greenland, and possible Canada all to show Putin and Xi what a badass he thinks he is. But unlike the latter two, who listen to their military experts and are far more experienced in international affairs, p47 has surrounded himself with yes men and women without the experience needed for the outdated Monroe Doctrine to succeed. The outcome will be far worse than Vietnam, Iraq, and Afghanistan combined.
Today I listened to a substack interview by Joyce Vance and Senator Mark Warner. Warner who is on the Intelligence Committee Gang of 8 informed us he received a call from Rubio about the Venezuela invasion just after it was deployed. (Warner stated Rubio might as well have sent a press release) Given all of the doublespeak by Rubio over the weekend, it is apparent that the Trump regime's true purpose was regime change/oil grab = "politics". The whole legal basis concerning drug trafficking was a pretext. As a citizen, I am horrified that our military used a large armada -- risking military lives -- for imperialistic adventurism. This invasion was not about democracy, and neither the Venezuelan citizens our American citizens will be better off for Trumps oil grab, using Maduros lieutenant as siphoned. Yeah, Maduro is a bad actors, but the manner of his removal with no real foreign policy plan in the aftermath is despicable and dangerous
What I'm horrified about is that our military agreed to complete the Venezuela mission, knowing full well that it was unconstitutional, and that Congress had NOT been consulted. They are all culpable, every last one in the Delta Force, as well as all of the incompetent, narcissistic jerks in the WH. None of this will go well. This as.........just took us into the black hole. And Rubio??? Is this really all about weakening Cuba, his ancestral home? If so, he should go back there...permanently. What a lying wimp.
You all know in your heart that to be not only the right thing to do but also it is the only thing we can do and retain any semblance of respect for America in the world.
