Senator Schiff says he is looking forward to questioning Waltz under oath (probably about Signalgate). Good.

Everyone can clearly see what is going on here. And it is also crystal clear that no one is doing anything to stop project 2025 from being implemented as planned.

We are now in the process of loosing democracy in America. We should have been more careful whom we voted for. 2026 will probably be too little too late.

Voters gave Trump the mandate to implement process 2025! While Trump denied this process during his campaign, almost half the voters in America endorsed the process by voting for the man now drowning America in accord with his now claimed and denied mandate for 2025. He is just carrying out his campaign promises. Afterall he was elected in a "landslide" vote like no landslide in history! Never before has a landslide come this close to a majority. This claim about the landslide is one of the rare truths from the administration.

George,

Trump got less than 50% of the vote.

What you talking about?

George's avatar

Exactly, no previous landslide has ever been this close to achieving a majority. So the claim that the Trump "landslide" is a landslide like no other is undeniably true.

Wholeheartedly agree Robert.

Harris/Walz vociferously and repeatedly shouted this would be coming from Trump.

Half of American voters went for it anyway.

Can’t line all them up and spank them can we?

If 2026 elections don’t happen it will be us lined up but we won’t be spanked.

The entire cabinet are loyalty posts. It’s a disgrace.

Excellent exposition and stitching together political insight, history and common sense. Very nice writing too.

Waltz and Hegseth are both the least qualified people in this administration. It’s not surprising that Waltz had to step down and there will probably be others doing the same.

Hard to say who the least qualified people in this vile tRUMP administration are given how many candidates there are for that title.

To borrow a description from HRC, it's a cabinet of "deplorables".

What on earth are we going to do? Heaven help us.

Very scary. Shouldn’t our elected senators and representatives be speaking out against an administration built to fail?

He looks like Zach from Saved by the Bell

I fear the next one will be even worse. I hope Walz and his assistants are questioned under oath.

I think most of the felon's cabinet choices leave us vulnerable and in danger. Those that voted for him, most ignorant of world politics, thinking the price of eggs would come down better be prepared for what's coming. Without a doubt, war. And their kids will be the ones that die. The price of eggs won't matter then.

None of this makes sense to me unless I look at is in terms of the Republican shift to oligarchy by way of authoritarianism. They are eroding the rule of law because you can't have an authoritarian oligarchy and a democracy at the same time. MAGA, which is now synonymous with the Republican Party, is overthrowing our democracy. They have not won, yet, thanks to the courts - but American democracy is again imperiled. They are eroding the law - as this article shows.

You call them lies, a harsh term for "fictions" or "alternative truths". A lie requires the speaker to understand that the statement is contrary to fact. A functioning ability to reason and understand is necessary to formulate a true lie.
