Contrarians,
Good news this week: another victory for the rule of law over political pressure!
On October 1, D.C. Superior Court Judge Todd Edelman dismissed the Reflecting Pool case with prejudice.
Federal prosecutors, including Pirro’s office, are barred from ever recharging Olympian Davey Hearn over alleged damage to the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool.
Hearn’s vindication is a reminder that prosecutors are accountable to evidence and the law — not to a president’s preferred narrative.
Judge cited “exceptional circumstances…” and also Norm Eisen
The “political pressure brought by the President of the United States upon his subordinate officers,” like Trump’s criticism of Pirro for dropping the case and his demands to revive it, was a clear reason for dismissal.
Trump’s corruption was so blatant that the judge also noted that the attempt to revive the case was motivated by Hearn’s political activity and the identity of his attorney, our very own Norm Eisen.
Norm keeps winning — Trump is mad
How bad does a personal vendetta have to be for a judge to call you out on it? Trump is so threatened by Norm’s continued legal WINS that he was willing to put an innocent Olympian behind bars based on Trumped-up “evidence.” And, as we’ve seen time and again, that is just the tip of the iceberg of Trump’s delusions. He needs to be checked for all of his supposed evidence, across multiple trials, and we intend to ensure that’s exactly what happens.
Help us keep winning.
