This was a brilliant interview, thank you Jen for bringing us Justin's perspectives. I will mark it to listen through it again -- and send it to friends. I feel smarter (and calmer) today for listening in.
Regarding Justin's last remarks about Trump's disgraceful spewing during SOTU -- Justin was completely on point. No matter what lie Trump slurs, facts are stubborn things and the fact is, immigrants built this country. End of arguments. Want to keep building up this country? We need immigrants.
I'm looking forward to seeing Justin's YouTube "lectures" (don't really want to call them that because lectures can be boring, but I've never found Justin to be!). Woot woot!
This was one of the most interesting conversations I’ve heard in a long time. Really informative. For example, I knew we traded tariffs for the income tax because tariffs are a regressive tax, but hadn’t heard the point that our government is now bigger and more expensive, and tariffs bring in much less because they are only based on what we import. If we relied on tariffs the rate in order to cover expenses the rate would be enormous. To catch everything I may watch the entire talk again. Or better yet, subscribe to Justin’s YouTube channel. Thank you so much.
Thank you, Justin, for your wise words. I will be searching for you and hanging on every word you have to say. I have a lot to learn and I'm only 86 so there's still time!
A blending of themes here! So excited for Justin! We need people who enjoy teaching to educate us all in many different formats and fields on many different topics. CWC this morning with Randi Weingarten alluded to something very similar. I really enjoy Justin’s perspective on things.
The last 7 minutes were outstanding. Justin responding to the Q about his perspective as an immigrant on the SOTU, and then his announcement of a YouTube channel and possible Substack. Good stuff Jen.
Once again an excellent conversation. Kudos to both of you for asking and answering the questions and concerns nearly everyone has on what is happening with tariffs. Also and always a big shout out to both of you for keeping $rumps disgusting rants regarding immigrants in the conversation about how a decent and successful country and productive economy SHOULD operate.
Justin needs to join The Contrarian as their Economic correspondent. He is truly gifted in how he puts things in real world terms. Thank you for sharing your talent with the world. 💙

Justin, your humor is so restorative.

Justin does make talking about economics very interesting and not boring at all. Thank you.
There should be more teachers like him.
Very exciting Justin!!! Great new venture! Best wishes to tremendous success!!

Thank you for this one. Just the best - clear, concise and totally absorbing!!
Really like and enjoy Justin Wolfers!

Thank you both. I always learn something new
He is the BEST explainer, and so entertaining too!
Thank you, Jen and Justin. I am so much smarter after watching this.
Wall Street is a casino owned by the billionaires and they take profits while it rises and when it crashes.
