Encouraging to hear you say that those of your constituents who voted for Trump also see it as wrong for T to pull troops from Ukraine and instead put them in American cities to threaten Americans.
I get the import of ACA subsidies. It will impact my daughter who is self employed.
BUT - there are rumors that Schumer is getting set to make ACA subsidies the ONLY issue on which he will negotiate. No, No, No. NOT ACCEPTABLE. OTHERWISE SHUT DOWN.
But of that group of 40 bipartisan former veterans, they have all refused release of Epstein files. So again, does bipartisanship go both ways??? Doesn't seem like it.
Hey, a politician who can respect the concerns of Chamber of Commerce and small business owners and at the same time not only forget but fight for working poor and middle class. The classes that more and more of us are in.
We need all veterans to crow about misuse of Guard and regular service troops targeting Americans instead of our adversaries. It won't be long before those adversaries step into the void left in our defenses.
Sorry to hear you say that the politically smart thing for Ds is to tiptoe around blowing up of shipping boat off Venezuela. And rubbing our noses in the blood and gore.
I'm sorry, too, but the blame goes on Americans who can only hold one tiny thought in their heads at a time. We used to be able to look at the big picture of current events, but now people just pick what affects them directly and ignore the rest. I think that is what Rep. Ryan is really saying.
Pretty soon, armed troops in people's hometowns will directly affect them. I don't know about you, but I don't want to see, let alone be "affected," by American soldiers targeting American residents.
I'm of the Kent State generation. Even at the time it didn't seem real - but it's still in the back of my mind. Wish my memory were better, but I'm pretty sure that that was a turning point and galvanized the anti-government protests.
Strangely, for myself, I'm finding my participation in grass roots protests has caused me to better see the "big picture". All the different stories - and really good people who are making common cause for change. Sounds sappy but it feels like a thing.
Making notes as I listen.. Repeal and replace:
#1 repeal trillion dollar tax cuts to one percent and give to middle class
#2 repeal 75 billion to ICE and give to local law enforcement and opiod addiction programs
#3 repeal trillion Medicaid cuts and replace with reduction in cost for ACA tax subsidies
Well, from this SHUT IT DOWN activist, I could get behind these 3 proposals.
Thx
We need more thoughtful people representing us in congress. Congressman Ryan seems to get it!

Agreed - and the prospect frightens me.
I'm waiting for some more news from the Contrarian about Russian incursion into Poland's airspace.
You would think that everybody in government would be thinking the same thing on this. What about military readiness do these clowns not understand?
Right!
Good point on messaging problem with over use of "shut down".
Doesn't in any way address the issues that matter to Americans. So your advice let's hammer home those issues.
Great!

Congressman Pat Hartigan (R), NC District 10, is a West Point graduate. And a MAGA.
