Thank you, Representative Pelosi for your clarity of thought, brave words & challenge to everyone who doesn’t want to see the USA become a dictatorship to get involved somehow.
Please, Speaker Pelosi and Democratic Party leaders: Don't abandon us here in Florida. We have, among other things, a gubernatorial election next year. Rhonda Saster is term limited, thank goodness. The Republicans of DeSantistan are about to nominate his even more Machiavellian spouse to succeed him. That is actually a golden opportunity for We the Good Guys: Casey At the Trough (apologies to Ernest Thayer) is so loaded with Hate Florida -- oops, I meant Hope Florida -- corruption baggage that many people will not vote for her, period. The Democratic candidate (presumptively David Jolly at present) has a much better chance of prevailing than recent Republican rigged results would suggest. This is a Purple state.
And as a Texan I feel the same way about Texas, but I understand about working harder where there is more choice. Why did Texas turn so Republican and MAGA anyway?!
Her voice! Her strength seems undiminished. This woman filibustered for a record length of time, wearing stiletto heels. She kneeled in honour of George Floyd for the length of time he was pinned under the officer's knee until he suffocated. She slow-clapped Trump's State of the Union, and tore up the printout.
I greatly admire Rep. Pelosi. She has more intestinal fortitude than the majority Members of Congress today, by a long shot. Thank you for your loyal service to all America, Rep. Pelosi.
“Belief in the goodness of our country.” The goodness of our country is worth fighting for. We must continue with nonviolent means. We’ve not exhausted our options. It’s going to be a long slog. Breathe, take hippie naps (thank-you S. Miller for that) but press forward. Find kindness and goodness. It’s all around us.
Robert, I watch Heather Cox Richardson’s Politics Chat videos on YouTube. She has a chat every Tuesday and Thursday on her YouTube channel and Facebook page and then posts them on YouTube. She routinely points to the numerous things people are doing, both big and small, all of which make a difference. Many activities are not being covered. There is a groundswell of resistance. Hope, strength, kindness and compassion. Obama said, Yes We Can, whereas Trump says, I alone can fix this. Yes We Can includes you and me.
Although it seems that Trump and all his ilk are truly their own worst enemy, it also seems that we had better get down to the job at hand of prosecuting all this illegal activity and we had better start NOW. Little time remains before the brown shirts (masked ICE agents) come for us!!
Yes, we all need Nancy's strength and courage. Find out where to demonstrate for labor unions in your area on Labor Day! Unions protect our workers and our democracy. Go out and stan up for unions!! It is one thing you can do. There is strength in numbers. Stand up and be counted!!! Feel empowered by showing up!!!
Thank you Speaker Pelosi. Go fighting women.
Let's win.

I have to give Nancy Pelosi credit for getting the job done!

Yea, Ferbie, but it seems so few seem to be standing tall for democracy and justice. We need more people like the governors of Illinois or California.
People who have the guts to stand tall and say, "No, not on my watch"!!

Yea to HCR!'s substack posts!
WWOZ.org New Orleans radio is remembering Katrina 20 years ago. Who’d a thunk?
Yes, needed some Nancy! We Dems must simplify a few messages, like the truth, and as they do, repeat repeat repeat…🤞🏼

Excellent interview!
Brilliant strategist, unflappable under pressure, and gutsy enough to march through the slick halls of Congress in heels! Nancy is my hero
