AMERICA BORN OF HOPE AND PROMISE

America born wild and free,
Pilgrims came and tamed thee.
A new world begun,
Plenty for everyone.
From east to west,
We did our best.
To make a country strong,
Inviting everyone to belong.
Through toil and strife,
We struggled with life.
Times were tough,
we’re made of sterner stuff.
We built a great nation,
A future full of hope,
Strength and Imagination,
with struggles we did cope.
THE RACE TO THE BOTTOM
The good life we did seek,
comforts that made us weak.
so from a little seed,
sprout a tree of greed.
Original purpose now lost,
Locked in petty fight
Our sense of pride the cost
Now dimed once a bright light.
Now life now in decline,
Once so sublime.
Riches we once knew,
Now in the hands of just a few.
Do we continue this pace
Until we see the devils face
Continue with false pride
And continue the ride.
THE AWAKENING
Its time to take our country back,
From those our interest they lack
Candidates desperate to win
Such lies they’re willing to spin.
Our differences so small,
Our needs the same.
To separate us with a wall,
Tempers they inflame.
Do we continue their game,
Differences aflame.
Or join forces to win,
A future for or our children
A FRESH START
With an energy and zeal,
Just as our founder did feel.
We join hands in company,
To remake our country.
There is much to make right,
But we’re up for a fight.
It’s our country after all,
Once again we will stand tall.
God bless America!
Love it! Yes it’s going to be hard work and we can’t do it half assed. But if we don’t do it together I doubt it’ll work🙁
We can expect democracy to survive.
Shoring up our institutions will require coordinated action.
Not glib substituting for action.
Mostly, Democrats need quit being pissy ... going home because they didn't get their individual option.
7 million who voted for Biden stayed home. 'Ill show them ...
