And of course these advocates for teen pregnancies only protect and fund the zygotes and unborn, but once there is a baby, there will be no advocacy, no support and most important of all, no funds.
They want the babies so they can sell them (adoption). Many of the Forced Birthers were happily planning to set up "baby farms" where they could hold teens captive until they gave birth. They were foiled by the fact that bans on abortion actually increase the abortion rate.
I hear that idea pushed all the time, but it never made sense to me. When you make sex ed, contraception and abortion difficult to access, the babies who are born aren't pretty little adoptable white babies (affluent white parents have better access to information, health care and abortion). They're mostly babies of color. I've read that 50% of abortions here in Ohio are Black women. I suspect economics is a factor.
Thanks for highlighting this bull**** the government is cooking up. I support your advocacy of hormonal and menstrual cycle education. Your advocacy is based on science and research in those disciplines. Restorative reproductive medicine is a form of alternative reproductive medicine and is based on pseudoscience. If there’s a real organic health issue going on then this is a recipe for quick disappointment if one wants children. The medical and scientific establishment should be going after the government over their crap. PEW is right about the teen pregnancy rate you only have to look at Progressive states vs Conservative states. Teen pregnancy is way higher in conservative states.
I want to say that this is the most disgusting thing to come out of a thoroughly corrupt administration yet. But I have to put it behind the hundreds of thousands of deaths that Elon and DOGE instigated when they dismantled USAID. I can't decide whether this or the ICE concentration camps are worse. In less than two years, Donald Trump has destroyed everything good about our country that he could lay his tiny hands on, and the moral sewage continues to pour out of the White House.
Our oligarchs funnel money up to themselves, that's how American capitalism is designed to work, so it is impossible for many if not most mothers to stay at home and raise children. If so much money wasn't being funneled upward, we could be in a different place. But the oligarchs want their money AND they want an increasing population to buy their products and ensure that ever more money is funneled up. So the pressure is on women in particular to be both mothers and workers. Not conducive to the lives we all deserve. The system needs a major reform, but of course the oligarchs have the political system rigged too with their money. What a country.
What we need is free daycare for all, not women dropping out of the workforce. It is really bad for children to be kept at home and raised by a stay at home mom. It is really bad for women to stay at home and do nothing except watch one kid. It is really bad for society to have half the workforce sitting around doing nothing. It is extremely unnatural for half the young, healthy human population to not contribute economically. Daycare is the normal way in which human children are raised: the young, healthy people go out hunting and gathering, and the young kids are watched as a group by an infirm or elderly person. In today's world, you can see that children kept isolated at home with a stay at home parent are markedly behind (socially, academically, cognitively) compared to daycare kids, and the effect persists well into adolescence, possibly into adulthood. The stay-at-home kids are so behind that some countries have considered making it illegal to not put children into daycare systems by age one at the latest. And most women have zero interest in giving up their job or career to raise children. Most of my friends got so bored with maternity leave that they came back to work months early. Daycare is the way to go.
Katie Miller got married at the age of 28, had her babies in her very late 20s and early 30s. (She's 34 now). STFU, Katie. You know what would get young people "ready" to have kids? Decent-paying jobs, parental leave, affordable child care, affordable health care, quality public education.
Also, they're going back to teaching teenage boys not to masturbate? Yeah, that's going to work out well.
Once again the Trump regime is again toying with out lives. When SCOTUS decided against women's right to an abortion I thought laughingly, look out they soon will want women to prove their menstrual cycle was natural and not being interrupted by abortion. In other words women would have to legatimize the fact that they monthly, naturally lose a possible fetus--- since it will be called a crime.
Women around the globe are having less children and we are trying to care for them better. That includes women's health issues. Well since we are getting rid of the immigrants who took on unskilled jobs, the new system of encouraging teen pregnancy will provide that unskilled labor force. And, as Arkansas Blue states, the government has no wish to support those teen pregnancies with better health care, and nursery care. They just want numbers.
How does this not violate the separation of church and state? The facts don't support their agenda. Science doesn't support their agenda. It's Christian dogma being forced on everyone.
Just too much anti-science inhumanity. These campaigns weigh against history and reason. They promote the opposite of moral responsibility for one's action (to cause only those results that can be supported both physically and socially).
Because the world needs more emotionally unprepared teens to give birth to children who will grow up in homes with minimally educated parents who don't have the life skills or even the desire to be parents while still in their teens. ..not.
No doubt the Heritage Foundation aldo has plans for birth homes where teen moms to be can be housed until they give birth to babies who will then be adopted by approved white evangelical or Catholic families.
And of course these advocates for teen pregnancies only protect and fund the zygotes and unborn, but once there is a baby, there will be no advocacy, no support and most important of all, no funds.

This is horrifying.

It is just unbelievable that they have cut a swath through our entire culture, economy and future. Maybe we should start calling Trump, Doctor Death.
It is hard to single out one most disgusting thing, isn't it?

What the Hell is wrong with their brains??? They need to get their heads out of their you-know-whats and face the real world.
And yes, you are totally correct, Arkansas Blue. Ultimately, it will those innocent babies who will pay the price.
