The negotiated deal appears "less than the JCPOA, which Trump spent years denouncing and walked away from in 2018". trump alienated allies and his administration had lost credibility well before this situation developed. As for what Iran's military hardware has retained: only Iran knows for sure and the Persian mind will not share such intelligence.

Diaper Donny & the 1/2Pint have destroyed our international standing.

The War-on-a-Whim didn’t just deplete our soft power, it erased it & China scooped it up. & maybe the European Union as well.

We are weaker, less influential & our military, hollowed out by the racist sexist 1/2Pint, is reeling.

I would love to hear from the real military and their families as to what their take is on this shit show.

he who the gods would destroy, they first make mad. Trump is the obvious case; but collectively, the people who elected him in 2024 must have been made mad too. For them, there's also "as you sow, so shall ye reap". And for all of us - unfortunately - "O brave new world, to have such people in it".

Yup. A complete debacle with ZERO short or long term benefits to America.

Totally ignoring the possibly illegal act of Trump starting this war as he did, if he was going to cheat, he should at least cheat AND WIN!

The one silver lining coming out of all this may be to give us a good, solid shot of reality to shake this undeniable US hubris of the last 30 years, and to finally reveal to even the most ardent Trump fans what a bill of goods he has sold them. A stronger Europe, less trust in the US, and a good look at just how uforgivingly ugly and destructive we have been to our former friends and allies. Steep price, but maybe it needs to be paid to get us back to sanity.
