Let me state at this time that it is my opinion that America is in a fight for its democracy. We are now, (I am very sad to say) a Fascist state. Russell Vought has now implemented Project 2025 OVER our constitution, our congress and many, many of us who object to this.
I, as an American citizen, strenuously and totally OBJECT to this.
What we do now will determine democracy in America in the future. We MUST question what is now becoming routine in America ( masked ICE agents, roundups of people on the street, cancelling out of constitutional law, etc, etc).
If we do not stop this now, we NEVER will. The horror of 1938 Germany will be the legacy we hand over to our children.

This was a great interaction between Jen and Mr. Lowell. Mr. Lowell explained things in English, rather than legalese, which made the issues much easier to understand.
Abbe Lowell has been a brilliant legal mind since his earliest days in the DMV several decades ago. I rest easier knowing that Mr. Lowell is on the case. I am grateful to him for being “Abbe Lowell for the people.”
Why are we Dems playing by the rules? Trump/Republicans and their enablers are not. They are barreling ahead ignoring laws, precedents, rules and court orders. How is it they are not stopped each time they violate not just laws/rules, but any sense of ethics and morality? I am fed up. Dems need to find a way to think “outside the box” or draw outside the lines! Playing nice simply does not work. There must be a way without stooping to their level; which I remind you again, their actions are illegal and unconstitutional! What do all those oaths taken with hands on bibles mean? Obviously nothing. Shameful.
I share your frustration, believe me. In tonight's roundup Abbe Lowell brought up the proactive lawsuits people are working on, to stop these EOs and other illegal actions before the president can execute them. Let us hope this brings results.
Abbe Lowell is terrific. He's a great communicator on complex subjects. And Jen your interview skills were peerless. Please invite him back! And keep us posted on Life in DC under military rule - WHAT are all those Red-State National Guards going to do in the Capital???
Glad to have Abbe Lowell as one of the lawyers fighting back. So sad to see Trump misusing the DOJ to get back at perceived enemies or those who he sees as having slighted him. Real advisors would put a stop to this infantile behavior.

Is Abbe doing some of this work on behalf of Tish James, Miles Taylor pro bono or at drastically reduced fees? I am hoping so. I also wonder - are there enough top flight attorneys pitching in to help poor Norm reduce his work load?! Kudos to all doing this work.
