The White House would have extraordinary control over the workforce by making it easy to hire employees based on their politics and to remove anyone viewed as insufficiently loyal.
As usual the Republican Congress has failed its basic Constitutional function to act as a check on the Executive. For this reason the Republican party must be held accountable. We are going to need more than just winning elections to make that happen, but winning elections is certainly a good start.
Future Democratic presidents, house representatives and senators will have to reverse all of these fascists new policies, together with destroying all orange convicted felon erected buildings, statues, arches, rose garden concrete and removing his name from anything and everything, as soon as his term is over, or when he kicks the bucket, whichever is sooner.
They should take a look at what happened to James Garfield when a nutcase, who was expecting a job under the spoils system, didn’t get what he thought he was owed.
When he tried to EO this policy near the end of his first term, it made me ill. It was one of the first items on Bidens list to reverse that policy. This rule would be/will be one of the worst of the worst- and i would put it in the column of waste-fraud-abuse.
