I don't understand how they can "undo" a law like this because they don't like it and because of what it could potentially do to POTUS, his family and organization, and his buddies. I'm very familiar with corporate law and how the anonymity of LLCs made the USA the #1 country GLOBALLY for money laundering. Money laundering has been major accelerant to the cost of housing in the Miam - Lauderdale area as well as NYC. EVERYONE WHO WANTS TO HIDE THEIR ILL GOTTEN MONEY or simply LAWLESS PEOPLE HIDING THEIR $$ FROM AUTHORITIES, ❤️ the anonymity of LLCs. And I mean LOVE. It's big problem in divorce and liability cases. But on a larger scale the LLC is used by corrupt autocrats to get their stolen money out of their country. Illegal arms dealers. Think of any nefarious, illegal or unethical "means of business." You need to understand - if you have BIG money from an illegal or unethical (think major polluters in foreign countries) source, you're going to have to HIDE it. Using it to buy a $1MM+ condo is a quick way to "launder it." So the Corporate Transparency Act was a godsend for the RULE OF LAW. In NYC & Miami -Lauderdale it became the law that if a home was valued > $1MM and the owners wanted to purchase it with an LLC - they had to report the names & addresses of the owners to FinCEN. Just think of how an anonymous LLC can "hide" the TRUE identity of (foreign) political donors. 😱 When I heard Trump had sign an Executive Order abolishing this KEY TOOL TO HELP OUR LAW ENFORCEMENT - while I understood Trump's E.O was ILLEGAL, what it said to me is that we put a BONAFIDE MOBSTER INTO THE OVAL OFFICE. Let's not forget this - Trump did this immediately after he loss his case against Capital One bank. And why did he lose? Because Capital One was able to prove that they closed the accounts of his business because they exhibited 🚩 for "money laundering - NOT for "political" as Trump alleged. The Trump businesses has over 80 accounts in just that one bank. How many con artists and thieves has Trump pardoned? The word "criminal" doesn't seem accurate here. There are individuals who have committed a criminal act, served their time and reformed themselves. Trump belongs in the realm of the truly evil.
I have wondered if the Epstein files hid evidence of using real estate transactions to knowingly money launder for foreign nationals from countries hostile to the U.S. This destruction of another similar evidence source adds urgency to what is a national security issue as well as potential criminal activity. Fortunately, such activities seem to fall outside of his immunity.
Interesting. As an American living in Canada, I am required to annually file a document listing all financial accounts over which I have signing authority. And include the maximum value in each of those accounts during the year. It’s one thing to ask an American resident in the US about funds held outside the country, but ridiculous to ask me about accounts I hold in the country in which I live.
