When I read the cartoon, I was struck by how much this sounded like Trump's alternative universe, where facts are fictionalized, made into conspiracy theories, and reported on Fox News, among others. ... Who would ever have imagined that lies would become so prevalent, and permissible that the Rule of Law, and democracy itself could tumble?
