But I do have a question. Not a rhetorical question.
You say “The president cannot cancel the midterms. The president cannot use the military and invoke martial law and have the military enforce local, federal, and state law, especially around elections. It’s not a thing that’s possible in the Constitution legally or practically.”
But the Constitution and the laws have not stopped them so far. And there are so many government officials and employees who are willing to enact unlawful orders.
Without catastrophizing, what if things play out to make these worst case scenarios real?
I also see that the Constitution is not required reading by the White House. And I am curious what happens in worst case scenarios. So far, the 3rd branch of government, our judiciary, has been showing up to work, as have the state attorneys general. May they continue to persevere and prosper.
Greg Abbott complied with his chosen partner in crime. He gave him our sensitive voter info without our permission. In Texas under Cruz, Cornyn, & crooked Kenny Paxton we have no one to call.
It seems with the DOJ just seizing the ballots in Georgia, how can local county clerks defend themselves when the full force of the Department of Justice, FBI etc., come to confiscate ballots and voting machines when Trump sees the election not going his way?
How can people "walk past" ICE agents at polling stations if said agents are abducting people with brown skin right and left?? This is just so unrealistic.

The only major exception on the 3rd branch is the Supreme Court, which at times has resembled a kangaroo court.
