Neither the Dems nor the Repubs have much in the way of helping ordinary people because both parties are heavily invested in "crony capitalism" or "corporatism". They are all about helping their friends in certain businesses, otherwise known as picking winners and losers. Favored business sectors get government help while others suffer. Think of Republicans and fossil fuels and Democrats and anything "green energy". Neither party is all that interested in the "creative destruction" part of capitalism, They allow "too big to fail" entities only to bail them out if they make poor economic choices. I say re-write the tax code and get rid of every exemption, carve-out, subsidy and anything else that benefits business at the federal level. She routinely criticized the Obama administration for their lack of action and the deliberate efforts to keep Israel (and Netanyahu) from taking matters into their own hands.
