Thanks for bringing this to my attention Jennifer Weiss-Wolf. I am so sick of his meddling into our business I could bite nails. We have already had a governor pull a similar shenanigan way back by blocking entry of African-American students. 😡
Jennifer Weiss-Wolf's article is excellent. The University of Alabama acted unwisely and unnecessarily in suspending magazines aimed at a particular audience, as most publications do, and to which all were invited to contribute. We need to resist the stifling of diversity. It is clear that the intention to silence some voices, particularly those of people who have had fewer opportunities to be heard, is to maintain and increase power over them.
The hypocrisy of the Trump administration arguing that using "proxies" for race is illegal is just stunning. Because by that standard, the Trump-inspired GOP redistricting efforts would be quite illegal.
