Mayor Brandon Johnson's (Chicago) chief-of-staff, Cristina Pacione-Zayas, said on June 11th that federal agents were told that they have 48 hours to "stand by and be ready to deploy". Pacione-Zayas said they will have tools used in raids: There will be tactical teams. There will be mini tanks. There will be other tools that they use in which they plan to do raids, as we saw in Los Angeles.
Philadelphia has confirmed that teams will be sent there. They are among dozens of cities and counties named on a list released by the Department of Homeland Security targeting sanctuary jurisdictions.
According to DHS, the list identified cities, counties and states that are "obstructing" federal immigration laws. As of Sunday, the list no longer appeared on the Department of Homeland Security's website. The list is being constantly reviewed and can be changed at any time and will be updated regularly, a DHS senior official said.

The protestors were Trump’s final target. He’s launched attacks everywhere else. It hasn’t taken long for him to turn full-blown dictator. The courts had better hold the line, - or else our goose is cooked! Protestors must continue to protest- but be careful.

ABC News, which just fired Terry Moran for saying a true thing about this fascist administration in a late-night social media post, is reporting on the national protests so vaguely and so gingerly and so misleadingly as to give almost as much credence to Republican lies as if they'd gone full Fox, and shown burning cars, dark-skinned humans, and Mexican flags around the clock. ABC even has a story valorizing "if you spit, we hit," describing an immigrant (gasp) spitting at an ICE officer and being, ABC implies, rightfully detained.
Corporate Disney (ABC's master), like corporate Paramount over at CBS, and like Amazon Web Services and Blue Origin (Washington Post), has ongoing business before the federal government, and isn't about to invite any more Republican retaliation than they've already suffered by allowing their reporters to express rational and timely opinions about the collapse of US democracy: or by speaking up for democracy themselves.
Instead, they're hyping administration lies at the top of the news and trying to compensate by framing Democratic rebuttals (often in scare quotes, with lavish use of words like "allegedly") down at the bottom of the hour, neutralized by images of burning cars and Mexican flags.
Corporate news outlets are selling out democracy in plain sight and at light speed to insulate themselves from Republican revenge. Shades of Viktor Orban: he may have transformed Hungary from a vibrant and prosperous democracy into a kleptocratic authoritarian backwater, now one of the poorest and most corrupt of the European states, but he is widely admired as a mentor and role model by US Republicans.
Worth remembering: back in 2013, just over a decade ago, when ABC's Jonathan Karl was shown to have collaborated with then-Republican Congressman Trey Gowdy to sensationalize distorted and inflammatory Benghazi allegations on ABC's national news program, in a report that was immensely destructive to Hillary Clinton's reputation, ABC didn't fire him: after an admonition so restrained it was hardly noticeable, they promoted him. And he's still there. Not Terry Moran, though, for stating the obvious about Stephen Miller.

Yes, ICE can identify us but we cannot identify them. It doesn't matter so much who they are but that they are apparently breaking their own regulations by wearing masks. It might be more productive, instead of speculating who they are, to ask who in the administration is permitting these masks to be worn.
The issue isn'tI Ice. The issue is whether there is a "clear and present danger" that requires the use of the National Guard and Marines -- and the protestors may include right wing aggitators.
Respectfully, I believe there is more than one issue here. You are correct that the illegal deployment and use of the military is the major crisis right now but the underlying issue is the lawless snatching up of people by government agents. I'm just not sure we can deal with one without addressing both.
