Not sure that reform of ICE/CBP can be disengaged from focus on winning 2026 midterm elections. Ds cannot afford to cave now and be perceived as without a spine. Again. A certain way to depress voter enthusiasm. Further, if Ds don't succeed in keeping ICE/CBP from sensitive places - including POLLING PLACES - then there is a real risk that too many D voters weighing the risk of facing off. against armed government agents will decide not to vote.
Why does Talarico have so much appeal to Hispanics? My answer to that question would be because Talarico was a middle school teacher. He not only just educated his students but he also had to deal with their parents in a way that was open, honest and diplomatic but above all fair and accommodating to all sides involved in finding solutions to problems.
And still.... not a word about right wing Leiendecker buying Dominion Voting Systems and renaming it "Liberty Vote."
You independent media better not be surprised when the shit hits the fan and the fascists win big in the mid-terms, because of a combination of "Liberty Vote" machines turning all votes for Democrats into votes for fascists plus another orange dumpster surprise, whispered to him by his Rasputin Miller, at the last minute.
I personally do not hold out much hope for a fair and clean election in November. Everyone knows what's going to happen to the orange dumpster's programs with a "blue tsunami." He simply cannot afford to let that happen.
