A while back I went to a "NO KINGS" demonstration in my neighborhood and saw the absolutely best summation of Americas plight today that I have read, seen or heard, barr none. It was printed out with the long side of the card up and down (portrait framed) and, thus, when this patriot printed out his comment on Americas' current prediction, he ran out of room.
So he printed out "Had Enough" on the top line, scrunching up the "ugh" and then, in the center, all in caps, he printed "YET" and, because he had a lot of room on that line, he added a few exclamation marks (!!) and a few question marks (??).
I read it "Had Enough (ugh, ugh? UGH !!?? YES! YET!!??

It's nice to hear that Mr. Dalio thinks the Dear Leader is destroying this country, but just because a hedge fund billionaire says something shouldn't give it more weight. The damage that the Dear Leader and his cabal have done to this country is even worse than Mr. Dalio says. This was evident after a few days of the new administration and I have been saying that the Dear Leader is mentally unfit to be president for years. I think except for diehard MAGAts everyone would agree.
Understood that it is said out of sarcasm, but the term 'Dear Leader' should be retired. Crazy Authorian Dictator is far closer to the mark, and CAD fits what he is as well.
I believe this is/will be a watershed moment for MAGA and what is left of the GOP: do you protect pedophiles/sexual predators because you have abandoned all moral and ethical standards out of fear of the occupant of the White House OR do you support justice and the rule of law?
Deciding to protect the pedophiles will likely also signal the end of our Democratic Republic.

Calling a decades-long trade imbalance a national emergency that justifies his tariffs. That's a hoax.
Characterization of the state of Washington DC a national emergency. That's a hoax.
Calling LA a national emergency because there are many immigrants there. That's a hoax.
Calling Chicago and Baltimore "hell holes" and therefore national emergencies. That's a hoax.
Calling a boatload of Venezuelans a gang of drug-rnners before they are indicted or tried in a court of law. Thats a hoax.
Claiming he has the right to order the murder of persons sailing in international waters and presumed innocent. That's a hoax.
Claiming he has the right to fire Liz Cook for cause mortgage fraud because she won't support his call for lower interest rates without proper econnomic grounds, while he retains in his Cabinet three persons whose mortgage-application information mirrors that of Cook, that's a fraud.
Treating his EOs as if they had the force of law without the support of law to validate them. That's a hoax, even though our Congressional representatives are too cowed and cowardly to challenge them.

It’s one thing that he does predictably, besides blaming Biden of course. All his “accufessions” - accusing others of what he’s already doing - are as old & tiresome as he is. Keeping the same old lies on standby makes it easier for him to remember. SAD!
Last night I was watching one of the episodes of the last season of Handmaid's Tale about the powerful white men who plotted Gilead and who are plotting to turn New Bethlehem into Gilead again. These fictional Christian nationalists were busy drinking and engaging in brothel sex with former handmaids. Power corrupts, and absolute power corrupts absolutely. Why do we have to keep learning this lesson over and over again?

With GOP insiders furiously purging any senior GOP predators from the Epstein files, the vaunted and deserved independence of our Judiciary is in peril. I wonder how Pam Bondi can live with herself. Is being close to the throne so rewarding that, with full knowledge, she flushes her dignity and decency?

The judges in these cases uphold the law and the Constitution. We all know that the corrupt Supreme Court is likely to reverse nearly every one. I hope the lower court justices do not give up, but I fear they might be forced to under the customary taking of Supreme Court decisions as the law they must follow. I suppose our future comes down to enough people being fed up. Unfortunately, a lot of people still love authoritarian hate as well as being right wing propagandized. Perhaps more and more will be peeled off by one atrocity or another. After all, Trump has to have a new outrage or two every day--when he temporarily stopped he was hoped to be dead.
SCOTUS will blame the victims, call them publicity seeking, money hungry whores, I promise you.
These women are truly heroes. When (if?) this country can regroup and follow its stated mission of rule of law and respect for all of its citizens, these strong women should get the protection and support that they have rightfully earned, while the perpetrators head to the nearest lockups.
