Thanks for running this, The Contrarian. Understanding the media's handling of this is so important. These protests can be an opportunity to educate people about what Trump is doing to crucial services for veterans -- but only if we get the media to do its job, as I discuss over at https://theystandcorrected.substack.com. Let's talk!
Since it is most valuable to have veterans involved in June 6 and June 14 protests/counter events, perhaps providing information at VA facilities, and to veteran groups such as American Legion, Veterans of Foreign Wars, Wounded Warrior Project and such can be the most effective method in bringing them all out and show America and its current Administration how they feel and what they deserve. I can't think that any media would NOT cover such gatherings then.
Ms. Rubin has consistently faulted the legacy media for all its under-reporting, its mis-reporting, its relentless false-equivalence reporting, its failure to lay bare the truths underlying the actual (as opposed to the canted) realities of our times--by which I mean our political times.
There is no reason to suppose that the legacy media will see the light. They've had years to do it, but they won't play that brave game.
And--key issue--the legacy media are so unbalanced in their readership, where so many rely on television and social media, that their truths, even if told, will not penetrate the majority of voters.
I hear you. The legacy media remain very powerful though. So many of the "opinions" and commentaries that fill social media are based on headlines and other updates from legacy media. With their giant budgets, they should be leading the fight for truth. Instead, they fail every day. We need a truth countermovement! It would help if MSM would report what’s happening in real time and honestly. E.g., no coverage, newspapers or tv, for any of the protest marches all during the Springtime. We have wonderful coverage on Substack (Contrarians et al) but nothing otherwise to reach folks who don’t know about us. Oh well!

Great thinking!
Will you be reaching out to veteran organizations with the info?
This Vietnam veteran didn't vote for The Beast. However, if I were in Congress I would vote to Impeach & Convict.
Thank you for your service!
