It's his new golf course, all of the kitsch and stuff he's been selling from hats to shoes to bibles to phones, to heaven knows what else, and then there's that damned airplane. Why has the Emoluments Clause never been visited? We aren't accepting, but what can we do about it? What is anybody doing about it? Feeling more than a little bit helpless at this point. Can we do any more than complain, and if so, what? The man is cuckoo, but his toady cabinet won't invoke the 25th Amendment, and don't look to the complicit House of Representatives to mount impeachment proceedings. Congress wouldn't deal with it any better or different than they did the last two times. Hoping for a change in majority with the 2026 midterm elections. Without that, it's almost certain that nothing will happen.
I've asked myself that question for months. I think we organize locally. Pull as many people together under one umbrella. We share information that is real...fact-checked etc. At some point if EVERY COMMUNITY in the country staged a protest on the same day, we might garner attention. And I'd reach out to international media to report on the protest. I also think we need to stop thinking that this is about Rep. vs. Dem. It's about right wing extremists groups already inside the government who are on record as not supporting the Constitution. Talk about that...don't debate politics - verbalize concern about the extremists' takeover. Break the paradigm.

I have a "representative" (Nick Langworthy) who responds, "The wonderful glorious president is performing miracles and anything bad is Biden's fault (or in his latest missive, Carter's fault) but he's always happy to hear from me." That's not an exact quote but close enough not to make a difference.
Let's not forget that the multi-hundreds of millions of dollars "Air Force 1" that Trompe wants US to buy and refurbish is supposed to be his personal plane when he leaves office.
