Every day is horrifying proof we are loosing our democracy....

Why don’t WE have an antidote to Truth Social? This is something the DNC should be focused on, with people available 24/7 to refute everything FF47 posts. I keep saying, Ken Martin isn’t worth the title and dollars he’s getting if he can’t begin to think outside the box. (All of that fundraising flooding my inbox every hour!). He’s wasting all these months when we should be creating a real strategy to get the candidates who can WIN in 2026 – - times are wasting, Ken! Get a move on, because OUR Project 2029 had better be in place when we need it! (Forgive my ranting, but I’m really sick of nothing happening, looking toward 2026.)

I agree!! We need a dynamic, creative and charismatic person to inspire and reenergize Democrats. You know, a leader. I was struck immediately at how dull Martin was, and he unfortunately mouthed off talking points in the typical robotic way. He may be great at fundraising, but find someone else to rally the troops. We're ready to go, but someone has to be upfront

I agree completely. Where is our Project 2029???

NPR is always having to say, "We asked the (insert name of relevant Republican) for comment and never heard back."

If they think NPR is too liberal, it is their own damn fault.

If NPR can be bumped from their place on the fm spectrum because they don’t sufficiently cover conservative views, then why can’t conservative and religious stations also be bumped for not sufficiently covering liberal views? Perhaps we need to use similar approaches to dismantling conservative media.

Absolutely horrifying. So give a re!onions channel space on the dial nearby and see you gets the most listeners. I have been listening to NPR for 65 years and have learned do much about so many different subjects. The children's programming on PBS raised my daughters. What the heck has happened to the USA?

This has left me in tears. And disgusted. He said he didn’t know anything about 2025. Bullshit

Trump isn't making America great again, it's been great!. What he's doing is going to do the reverse of making America great - it's destroying it and tearing it to shreds. I don't see the purpose. Public television and radio have great programing. And quite a bit is educational and informative. Trump and his cult are bonkers. I won't vote republican for the foreseeable future.

At last. A clear analysis tying policy to the step by step prescriptions of Mandate for Leadership: the Conservative Promise. Project 2025. It is a coup!!!

This plan is not going to succeed. Hatred is NOT gonna win here. No!!

Fuck these ignorant and blatant "religious" broadcasters. they're pumping out hate and ignorance, every second of every day.

I will vote for any candidate, for any office, who promises to work to strip the tax exempt status from these hate groups masquerading as churches.

It is time for NPR.and PBS to air this information about the next steps planned for them in the 2025 edicts. The public must have knowledge to take action immediately AND loudly.

Thank you for the astonishing article.

Thank you Jeff!! Am currently reading Katherine Stewart's book, "Money, Lies and God" which outlines just how pugnacious and calculating - and WELL funded! - these Christian nationalists are in trying to take over our pluralistic democracy and transform it into a white Christian theocracy. Having a large media presence is how they have gotten this far. Your essay outlines a HUGH step forward in their scheme!! I will share far as I can!!

They may replace NPR with religious programing but there is no way they can force me to listen to it.

Read Orwell’s 1984, yes they can, “Big Brother is Watching!”

It's just one horror after another with this administration. I've been an avid supporter of PBS and NPR for decades. The GOP's efforts to take them down is both nauseating and infuriating. How dare they? How many of those who voted to defund them have even watched or listened to either? This is an abomination and an assault on programming which is intelligent, informative, and entertaining. It's clear the intent is part of the GOP plan to dumb down the population of the United States, and I resent that wholeheartedly!!

Every day is simple, continuing proof that our democracy is already lost, toast, nana.
