Why do people constantly ask for transcripts they can print out, when basically everything is readily available at The Contrarian with just a tiny little bit of self-initiative? Why does anyone want to print a transcript, thereby wasting paper and killing trees, when a transcript can be read on-screen for any article/comment/interview even months later?
I am old and definitely not a computer expert, but at least I am curious enough to find out a few things for myself. So, following is my amateur description of how to read the transcript on-screen.
Immediately below the picture showing Jen and/or her guest, you will find the headline, the names of the participating parties and then a line with the number of likes, the number of comments and the number of restacks on the left.
On the right, there are three more options, the first entitled “save,” the second entitled “transcript” and the third is just “….” Which gives some more options. Click on the “transcript” and eh voila, there you go!
If you absolutely, positively have to print it out, your browser’s application menu should give you the option to print, or do a screen print.
The fact remains that we the people have put a Fascist into the White House. He is now destroying our democracy.

I realize that these are ICE agents acting wholly outside the law, but in many communities local law enforcement are now assisting ICE. Brutal, lawless conduct. I wonder if the damage to the public/ law enforcement relationship is irreparable.

Law enforcement in my CA county has made it absolutely clear in public statements they will not work with ICE, in part because our significant Hispanic population would not report crimes or ask for help as victims if they did.
This behavior by the #47 regime just ticks me off. They know it is wrong but persist and consciously disregard the law and courts. I fear someone is going to get killed when they resist their wrongful arrest by masked, unidentified people working on behalf of a corrupt wannabe autocrat.
Astonishingly, it appears Sec'y Rubio and any consular officials he designates have unlimited discretion to revoke visas of anyone for any or no reason. Little Marco is taking full advantage of his newfound power, revoking more than a thousand student visas and telling them to leave the country immediately or risk being detained. From CNN:

Finally one faces the main issue of democracy, the way dictatorships start - by snatching people off streets by hooded hoodlums acting on the part of the government. Although I am glad that Ms. Rubin decided to stop being silent (why did it take her so long?), I for one feel that this is far from enough. There are other similar cases, such as the one of Mahmoud Khalili - this is not an isolated case at all, and it calls for a much stronger outcry. Their coming for her is coming for you and me.
And we should not be discussing whether she is a nice person or not - as if the right to free speech, the most basic human right, was only reserved to those we like or agree with. It is also important to stress that this is systematically happening to those who defend Palestinian human rights, which must be faced openly - as the genocide itself inflicted on the people of Gaza.
