Chris Murphy is one of the most honest, up front senators, who is so straightforward in answering questions truthfully and to the point! It is refreshing to hear his direct response to your penetrating questions, Jen. But, it may be his insights, his evaluative thoughts that I value most. He forwards his no-nonsense, clear-eyed perspective exactly as he sees it. This was a great interchange, as always, with superb questions posed, and Senator Murphy's very worthwhile appraisals forwarded!

Thank you, Senator. Will you and a group of Senators put out a video, similar to the "Don't Follow Illegal Orders" video, that will urge citizens to claim their right and "Get Out and Vote" prior to the mid-terms? I'm afraid with Trumps efforts to spread fear at individual districts, people will stay home and not vote especially since everyone is saying that the Democratic Blue Wave is coming.

It’s coming alright. It most definitely is coming.

That’s a great question. This is a war of choice and they have no intention of briefing congress. A perfectly good reason to impeach the felon.

“Employees of Donald Trump.” Very illuminating.

Jen and Chris, don't you understand there is no longer much rule of law as Trump is 65% of the way installing a permanent dictatorship. You said it yourself that hundreds of violations of judges orders, not military briefings, hatch act violations, etc. Look at supreme court justice Thomas"s latest rant against progressives proving he is all in maga, not an unbiased judge.

Trump is not crazy per se, but in his second administration hired complaint, morally bankrupt staff and daily replacing honorable civil servants with "yes" people pledging allegiance to Trump. For a dictatorship. Anyone who can play 18 rounds of golf is not insane and about to die. The maga congresspeople are all complicit traitors whose oath of office was meaningless.

With no more illegals coming to america we don't need ice detention prisons (accept to hold americans trump doesn't like once fully a dictator after midterms). Why do you think these ice prisons don't have judges chambers to speed the deportation process???

Jen, the rule of law doesn't matter if those in power won't comply and the citizenry won't get off their keyboards and fight for democracy. Despite everyones best efforts the Trump dictatorship and project 2025 implementations are on schedule.

If Jen says half assed then congress is fucking failing. You f*ing white men who went to all the trouble to rent a space in congress, then grow a damn spine. You speak out of both sides of your mouth. You are chicken shit. You too are afraid of the wrath of Trump. You need to annihilate him. Quit being chickens. I can’t even continue to listen to this drivel. You need to quit. You f*er.

Oh how wonderful it would be to have more intelligent, forthright senators like Sen. Murphy.

Thank you for your final question, Jen. I think each and every piece about DJT needs to mention cognitive problems. He was loathsome already; now he is clearly losing the plot. Enough with normalizing “erratic behavior” and other euphemisms.

A couple of things that the Senator ignored:

1. Peter Magyar also deliberately avoided "culture war" issues like LGBTQ, etc.

2. While he did focus on democracy, he pitched it on the lines of how Orban's approach has caused economic stagnation, which most Hungarians could look around themselves and see.

So maybe the best lessons here are to soft pedal the culture wars and talk about the shortfalls of authoritarianism in concrete, direct economic terms rather than focus on the abstract democracy.
